As an
Engineer – CAD Application, you will play a key role in supporting global product design teams by delivering high-quality CAD solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate engineering requirements into precise 3D models and 2D drawings, enabling efficient product development and innovation.
Our Team
You will be part of the
Global Engineering Services (GES) team based in Bangalore, a centralized engineering support function that partners with product design teams worldwide. The CAD team focuses on delivering efficient, high-quality design solutions that support the Product Development Process (PDP) and drive engineering excellence.
What You Will Do
- Partner with global product engineering teams to deliver accurate 3D models, 2D drawings, and design solutions
- Translate customer requirements into high-quality CAD outputs that support product development and modifications
- Contribute to CAD data migration initiatives and system transitions, ensuring seamless adoption and continuity
- Drive consistency, quality, and timeliness of deliverables aligned with customer expectations and project milestones
- Collaborate across teams to identify design improvements and enhance product performance
- Leverage NX and Teamcenter tools to optimize workflows and improve engineering efficiency
- Proactively identify challenges and work with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
- Support continuous improvement by sharing best practices and enhancing team capabilities
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in CAD design or product engineering
- Strong proficiency in NX CAD and PLM tools such as Teamcenter or ECTR
- Solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with advanced NX capabilities (parametric modeling, part families, sheet metal design, arrangements)
- Exposure to CAD data migration or system transition projects
- Knowledge of reverse engineering and parametric remastering techniques
- Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (8D, Fishbone, Root Cause Analysis)
- Experience working with global engineering teams
