Job Description

What role you will play in our team

We are seeking dynamic, creative and resourceful Upstream Revenue Accounting Analyst to support a portfolio of non-SAP Revenue applications.
The ideal candidate will need to be able to interface with IT teams and business users in multiple regions
Understanding of full stack development using JAVA, Oracle Exadata and experience of hosting web applications and databases on cloud using AWS services like AWS ROSA, AWS RDS etc is a differentiator skill

Job location is based out of Bangalore, Karnataka

What you will do

  • Manage incidents, problem or work requests including configuration changes, minor enhancements, resolution of break-in fix issues, problem solving and troubleshooting, business consulting, system upgrades, data/analysis maintenance, user training and collaboration
  • Coordinate efforts with other IT support teams (SAP, Non-SAP, other applications)
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
  • Set up configuration, implement changes, perform unit/integration testing
  • Work with business users and external partners
  • Assist with work estimation and planning as part of Agile implementation in the team

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting financial applications for Upstream processes (such as Energy Components and/or CGI Production Accounting Solution and/or EDI viewer), or experience in Upstream Accounting
  • Previous full stack development experience using JAVA, Oracle Exadata
  • Previous experience of hosting web applications and databases on cloud using AWS services like Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), AWS RDS etc
  • Previous experience of supporting patch upgrades
  • Understanding of cloud computing, integration techniques, APIs, and programming languages (SQL, Java, Javascript, Python)
  • Previous experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, SAP BOBI Crystal Reporting)
  • Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization
  • Develop scripts or workflows to automate repetitive tasks
  • Support internal audits and regulatory compliance reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Must-Haves:
    • Experience of supporting financial applications for Upstream processes such as Energy Components and/or CGI Production Accounting Solution and/or EDI viewer, and experience in Upstream Accounting
    • Experience of supporting internal audits and regulatory compliance reporting
    • Fundamentals of SQL, Java full-stack, containerization, and CI/CD
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, SAP BOBI Crystal Reporting etc.)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Java full stack development with Oracle Exadata
    • Fundamentals of cloud computing and knowledge of AWS services like ROSA, AWS RDS etc.
    • Experience of supporting patch upgrades
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or master's in computer applications or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of IT experience with at-least 3 years relevant
