Job Description

Role: IT Operations & IT Asset Governance Lead Key Responsibilities

1. Team & Site Management -

a. Provide leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day management for the IT team across two locations, ensuring operational excellence and high user satisfaction. Act as the primary escalation point for IT issues, ensuring all service desk requests meet agreed KPIs.

2. Asset & Inventory Management.

a. Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets (laptops, peripherals, servers, networking hardware) from procurement to retirement. Maintain an accurate, up-to-date asset inventory and audit compliance across both locations.

b. Design and establish standardized asset lifecycle processes covering procurement, allocation, tracking, maintenance, recovery, disposal, and audit compliance.

c. Define asset governance standards, ownership models, tagging methodologies, and inventory controls across all company locations.

d. Tools we use - JumpCloud Cloud AD, The candidate having experience with other AD tools is also fine but he should be able to learn & apply his skills in JumpCloud.

e. Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID (On-prem) setup & end - to - end management for all the desktops on-prem.

3. Google Suite Management - employee accounts end - to - end management of security controls & user management operations.

4. Network, Security & System Administration -

a. Manage corporate networking infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs to ensure high availability.

b. Administer the JumpCloud directory platform for identity management, user provisioning, and device management.

c. Oversee endpoint security using CrowdStrike Falcon for threat detection, incident response, and malware protection.

d. Perform network traffic analysis and security audits.

5. Policy Writing & Compliance

a. Develop, document, and enforce IT policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.

b. Draft and maintain policies regarding security, remote work, device management, and data protection.

6. Operational Excellence

a. Manage IT hardware and software vendors, including contract renewals and procurement.

b. Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Management, or End-User Computing, with at least 1-2 years in a team lead, supervisory, or management role.

2. Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networking, firewalls, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.

3. Hands-on experience with endpoint security and IT operations tools, including EDR/XDR platforms, anti-malware solutions, endpoint management tools, vulnerability management, and network security monitoring solutions.

4. Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms such as JumpCloud, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Jamf, ManageEngine, Okta, Google Workspace Administration, or equivalent technologies.

5. Proven experience implementing, managing, and optimizing IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and tools, including asset lifecycle management, inventory governance, asset audits, and compliance reporting.

6. Experience leading the evaluation, deployment, and adoption of IT operations, endpoint management, and asset management solutions across the organization.

7. Proven ability to develop, document, and enforce IT policies, standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational governance frameworks.

8. Experience managing vendor relationships, software licensing, hardware procurement, maintenance contracts, and third-party service providers.

9. Strong understanding of endpoint management, device provisioning, patch management, user lifecycle management, and security best practices.

10. Experience managing and mentoring local and remote IT teams, with the ability to provide technical guidance, establish KPIs, and drive operational excellence.

11. Familiarity with ITIL principles, IT Service Management (ITSM), business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and audit/compliance requirements is preferred.
