Job Title: Endoscopy Technician
Department: Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Unit
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare endoscopy suite and equipment for procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment following protocols.
- Monitor and ensure the functionality of all endoscopy equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient and procedure records.
- Transport specimens to the laboratory as needed.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines strictly.
- Assist with inventory management of endoscopy supplies and equipment.
- Participate in regular training and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Certification as Endoscopy Technician or related healthcare certification (preferred).
