1. Function Context

1.1 Positioning

  • Position: End User Computing Senior Engineer
  • Supervisory Role: No
  • Reports To: Head of Global Networks & End-User Services

1.2 Purpose of the Role

ArcelorMittal is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Modern Workplace Engineer to manage comprehensive workplace support activities across Europe. The role involves desktop support, business software package preparation and support, and ensuring seamless operations across all European organizations within ArcelorMittal.

This role is part of the tower in charge of Global Networks and End User Services.

2. Key Responsibilities

Desktop Support Management

  • Manage all desktop support activities
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues to maintain optimal productivity

Business Package Preparation and Support

  • Manage the preparation, deployment, and support of business packages
  • Ensure packages meet the specific needs of various departments and functions

Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrate proficiency in end-user support
  • Demonstrate proficiency in business software packaging using Microsoft technologies

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with stakeholders across different European organizations
  • Understand business needs and ensure delivery of high-quality support services

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of workplace support activities

Compliance and Security

  • Ensure workplace support activities comply with relevant regulations and security standards
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of company data

4. Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Master's degree is a plus

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support
  • Experience in managing desktop support and business package preparation is essential

Additional Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Knowledge of other European languages is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
