About the Role
The Employee Engagement & Communications Manager CSR will play a pivotal role in driving employee volunteering initiatives and managing internal and external communications for CSR programs. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and execution of high-impact volunteering and communication campaigns aligned with the bank's CSR objectives. The position is based in Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra, and reports to the Lead Corporate Social Responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Employee Volunteering Program
Design and implement the annual volunteering program and calendar.
Mobilize volunteers across departments to meet yearly targets.
Identify, onboard, and manage non-profit partners and implementation agencies.
Execute volunteering events across multiple locations in India.
Coordinate pre- and post-event activities with vendors, media, and communications agencies.
Collate and report data post-events, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Drive automation and adoption of the volunteering platform.
Ensure the bank meets its annual volunteering and impact goals.
Manage vendor payments, budgets, and MoU negotiations.
Maintain inventory and logistics of volunteering merchandise.
Communications
Develop and execute the CSR communications strategy and calendar.
Curate content for the annual CSR report, website, social media, and other collaterals.
Maintain MIS of all CSR communication assets (videos, creatives, mailers, press notes).
Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of campaigns and content.
Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, legal standards, and internal approvals.
Monitor CSR communication budgets and ensure timely payments and updates.
Conduct quarterly and annual vendor reviews.
Ideate and implement digital campaigns and social impact storytelling.
Assist with shoots and coordinate with internal teams for execution.
Secondary Responsibilities
Governance & Compliance
Support adherence to CSR SOPs and statutory compliance under Section 135 of the Companies Act.
Assist in developing governance frameworks for CSR programs.
Maintain documentation and ensure audit readiness for all CSR activities.
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
Design and implement monitoring frameworks for CSR programs.
Lead impact assessment studies and generate actionable insights.
Track program progress against KPIs and ensure timely reporting.
Conduct field visits to assess ground realities and stakeholder engagement.
Project Management & Coordination
Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination across CSR projects.
Organize and manage employee volunteering and CSR events.
Prepare meeting minutes, review decks, and follow-up trackers.
What We Are Looking For
Education
Master's degree in any discipline.
Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in event management, volunteer management, or communications.
Proven experience in managing large-scale events and multi-stakeholder projects.
Experience working with NGOs, internal departments, and external partners.
Skills and Attributes
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
Ability to translate community feedback into program improvements.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and MIS reporting.
Strong understanding of CSR laws, impact assessment methodologies, and M&E tools.
High attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
Willingness to travel frequently across India for field visits and program audits.
Must be based in Mumbai.
