Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Employee Transportation Manager role based in Chennai. The Employee Transportation Manager will oversee day-to-day employee commute operations, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective transportation services. Responsibilities include planning and optimizing routes, coordinating with fleet operators and vendors, monitoring vehicle availability and performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing shift schedules, handling incident escalation, and maintaining real-time communication with drivers, supervisors, and internal stakeholders. The Employee Transportation Manager will also track service quality, analyze operational data, drive continuous process improvements, and address employee queries to ensure a positive commute experience.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Operations Management and Transportation Management for large-scale employee commute or similar logistics environments.
  • Proficiency in Fleet Management, including route planning, vehicle utilization, vendor coordination, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service and Communication skills to manage employee expectations, resolve issues promptly, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to use basic technology tools (e.g., transport management systems, spreadsheets, dashboards) for monitoring operations and reporting performance metrics.
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with attention to detail in a fast-paced, shift-based operational setting.
  • Prior experience in employee transportation, facility management, or corporate mobility operations is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required by transport operations and business needs.
