Job Summary

The Employee Relations Executive is responsible for fostering positive employee–employer relationships, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, and handling employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters. The role plays a critical part in maintaining a healthy work environment and supporting organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries related to workplace issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with organizational values.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and action plans.

Grievance Handling & Conflict Resolution

  • Receive, investigate, and resolve employee grievances in a fair, timely, and confidential manner.
  • Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution between employees and management.
  • Document cases, actions taken, and outcomes accurately.

Policy Implementation & Compliance

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, code of conduct, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements (e.g., Shops & Establishments Act, Industrial Disputes Act, POSH, etc., as applicable).

Disciplinary & Performance Management Support

  • Support managers with disciplinary actions, including show-cause notices, domestic inquiries, warnings, and corrective action plans.
  • Participate in investigations related to misconduct, attendance, or behavioral issues.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain employee relations records, case files, and statutory documentation.
  • Prepare periodic reports on ER cases, trends, attrition risks, and employee feedback.

HR Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Management, and Payroll teams.
  • Support onboarding, exit management, and exit interviews from an ER perspective.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in HR / Industrial Relations is preferred

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Employee Relations, HR Operations, or Industrial Relations
  • Experience handling employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and compliance matters
