Job Description

Role Purpose :

Own and continuously strengthen the employee experience at ZEISS India by driving engagement, inclusion, effective internal communication, and data-led insights. The role ensures that employee voice, communication, and experience initiatives are translated into meaningful actions that build trust, clarity, inclusion, and a strong organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Employee Engagement

  • Own the Employee Engagement Survey lifecycle including readiness, execution, insights, action planning, and progress tracking.
  • Design and facilitate qualitative listening mechanisms such as FGDs, pulse checks, and leadership workshops.
  • Drive SSC- and BU-level engagement action plans in partnership with HRBPs and business leaders.
  • Oversee Recreation Committee governance, ensuring consistent and meaningful engagement activities across locations.

2. Employee Experience

  • Design and continuously improve the end-to-end employee experience across key moments that matter, with a strong focus on onboarding.
  • Own the rollout and enhancement of digital and business-specific onboarding journeys.
  • Enable managers and employees on people processes through structured toolkits, communication, and enablement sessions.
  • Partner with HRBPs to ensure experience standards are applied consistently across BUs.

3. Internal Communications

  • Own the internal communications framework to ensure clarity, consistency, and transparency.
  • Plan and execute quarterly townhalls, Café Conversations with leaders, and HR newsletters.
  • Own the setting up of intranet for ZEISS India via multiple channels including yammer and team ZEISS
  • Align internal communication with business priorities, leadership messaging, and change initiatives.
  • Track effectiveness of communication channels and refine approaches based on feedback and engagement data.

4. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

  • Design and drive the DEI roadmap aligned to ZEISS values, culture, and business priorities.
  • Own DEI initiatives across development (e.g., Career development programs), inclusion, awareness, and policy enablement.
  • Own the program design, vendor identification, evaluation and onboarding for driving programs that require external partnership support.
  • Drive focus on strategic global priorities and localize the implementation at the SSC level ( Eg: Agenda 2030, IWD)
  • Partner with leaders and HR teams to embed inclusive behaviors into everyday ways of working.
  • Track DEI progress through defined metrics and ensure regular communication of outcomes and impact.

5. Data, Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze people data including engagement results, attrition trends, onboarding feedback, DEI indicators, and communication metrics.
  • Translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Build dashboards and structured updates to track progress and effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Support leadership decision-making through data-based narratives and insights.

6. Special HR Projects

  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional and strategic HR projects as part of the broader HR transformation agenda.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives such as culture transformation, change programs, or new HR capability build-outs.
  • Partner with HR leadership, PMO, and other functions to ensure timely delivery and impact of special projects.

Stakeholder Management & Governance :

  • Work closely with HRBPs, business leaders, and central HR teams to align priorities and drive accountability.
  • Influence leaders to role-model behaviors that strengthen engagement, inclusion, and communication.
