We are looking for a seasoned lawyer with excellent collaboration and communication skills, experienced in exploring and shaping the intersection of law and emerging technology in the financial industry.
Provide strategic legal advice on the implementation and roll-out of emerging technologies (primarily AI and Distributed Ledger Technologies such as Crypto, Stablecoins and tokenized assets). Collaborate seamlessly regionally and globally within the legal department and other control functions to unlock emerging technology's potential as a differentiator. Stay ahead of related regulatory changes and provide expert legal advocacy support.
For this role you need
- an analytical and curious mindset paired with strong academic skills. Given the evolving nature of regulations and the lack of established case law, it is essential to navigate unprecedented scenarios with sound judgment, anticipating how regulators will likely assess emerging issues.

Your team
You'll be working in the Emerging Technology Legal team, focusing on the Asia Pacific region. Our team is responsible for staying ahead of regulatory changes and providing expert legal guidance on emerging technologies.
Your expertise
- 8+ years post qualification experience, including experience at a top tier law firm with a focus on financial services regulation, fintech, emerging technologies and regulatory compliance.
- Law degree and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Regional experience in Asia, including Hong Kong and Singapore, is preferred.
- In-house experience at a financial services firm is preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks related to AI and/or Digital Assets, and Crypto.
- Advocacy experience and influencing regulatory policies is considered advantageous.
