Role Description The Emergency Medicine Resident role at Docthub is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The resident will provide frontline assessment and management of patients presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions in the emergency department. Daily responsibilities include performing focused histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, initiating stabilization measures, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves assisting with emergency procedures, supporting trauma and critical care cases, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards. The resident will participate in supervised training, case discussions, and continuous education activities to enhance clinical proficiency in emergency medicine.
Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Medicine and Emergency Medicine, with the ability to assess and manage a wide range of acute medical conditions.
• Competence or training exposure in Surgery and trauma care to assist with emergency surgical and procedural interventions.
• Skills in Critical Care Medicine, including monitoring unstable patients, managing life-support interventions, and working in high-acuity settings.
• Commitment to Training and continuous professional development, including participation in teaching rounds, simulations, and academic activities.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and eligibility for residency training as per local regulatory requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by emergency department operations.
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications, or readiness to obtain them shortly after joining.
