Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) based in Pune. EMTs will be responsible for responding swiftly to emergency calls, providing first aid, life support, and medical care during patient transport to medical facilities. They will communicate effectively with medical teams, ensure the safe transport of patients, and follow established emergency medical protocols and procedures. Proper care and maintenance of equipment, as well as accurate documentation of incidents, are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and familiarity with Emergency Services procedures
• Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, with NREMT certification (or equivalent), and/or qualification as a Paramedic
• Solid understanding of Medicine and essential paramedical practices

Key Responsibility Area:

Emergency Response & Patient Care

• Ensure rapid response to 108 emergency calls.
• Conduct patient assessment and provide immediate stabilization.
• Deliver essential life-saving interventions including CPR, oxygen therapy, and first aid.
• Guarantee safe transfer of patients to ambulance and hospital facilities.

Ambulance Operations

• Maintain ambulance readiness with functional medical equipment.
• Uphold hygiene and infection control standards inside the vehicle.
• Collaborate with drivers for safe and timely patient transport.

Documentation & Reporting

• Record patient details, vitals, and interventions with accuracy.
• Maintain comprehensive logs of calls, response times, and outcomes.
• Report medico-legal cases and unusual incidents promptly to supervisors.

Communication & Coordination

• Liaise effectively with dispatch centers for call details and updates.
• Provide clear handover of patient condition to hospital staff.
• Coordinate with police, fire, and other emergency services when required.

Training & Continuous Improvement

• Participate actively in refresher courses, skill drills, and CME programs.
• Stay updated with evolving emergency protocols and guidelines.
• Mentor and support newly inducted EMTs.

Community & Public Health Role

• Contribute to disaster management and mass casualty response.
• Support awareness initiatives on CPR, first aid, and emergency preparedness.
• Represent MEMS in public health and safety programs.
