Role Summary:

EMEA SAP Environments, Roles & Authorisations Lead plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing Colliers SAP Public Cloud Finance and HR platforms across the EMEA region, with a specific focus on managing environments as well as roles, security and authorisations.

As Colliers EMEA continues its SAP transformation journey, the successful candidate will join a growing team responsible for service delivery and continuous improvement of SAP applications (S/4HANA Public Cloud Success Factors Employee Central Payroll Concur CPEA BTP Services).

Purpose of Role :

The SAP Environments, Roles & Authorisations Lead is accountable for the end-to-end governance, stability, and operational excellence of SAP Public Cloud landscapes (S/4HANA Public Cloud Success Factors, BTP etc.) and the design, build, and ongoing management of SAP security roles, authorisations, and access controls.

This role ensures that SAP environments are fit-for-purpose, consistently available, properly controlled, and aligned to change/transport standards-while ensuring that user access is secure, compliant, auditable, and aligned with segregation of duties (SoD) requirements.

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

SAP Environment & Landscape Management (Public Cloud)

  • Own and manage the SAP environment strategy for all SAP Platforms including SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP Success Factors, Employee Central Payroll, as well as the BTP and other integrated platforms.
  • Maintain and publish the environment calendar (release windows, regression testing periods, cutovers, maintenance windows, blackout periods).
  • Plan and coordinate system refreshes, client copies, data loads/masking, and environment readiness activities for releases and projects.
  • Ensure environment stability through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, housekeeping, and incident/problem management.
  • Coordinate with Basis/Hosting/Infrastructure teams to manage downtime windows, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and system availability.
  • Define and maintain environment standards: naming conventions, access restrictions, schedule calendars, and release activity checklists/runbooks.
  • Work with SAP4ME support contacts and implementation/AMS partners to manage service issues, escalations, and root-cause analysis

Release & Change Governance

  • Lead governance for SAP half-yearly releases, hotfixes, and mandatory upgrades.
  • Assess release impacts, coordinate regression testing, and manage business readiness and communications.
  • Ensure adoption of new functionality aligns with business priorities and roadmap.
  • Govern configuration changes using Public Cloud extensibility standards (inapp extensibility, key user tools, BTP extensions).

Security, Access & Compliance

  • Own SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP Success Factors user access and role governance, including business roles, catalogs, spaces, and pages.
  • Ensure robust joiner/mover/leaver processes and periodic access reviews.
  • Oversee Segregation of Duties (SoD) risk management and mitigating controls (via SAP GRC or equivalent processes).
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring access, change, and operational controls are auditable and compliant.

Integration & SAP Landscape Support

  • Understand and support (when required) integrations between S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP Success Factors and other enterprise systems (SAP and nonSAP).
  • Support SAP BTP, middleware, and identity teams to ensure secure and resilient integrations.
  • Maintain visibility of the wider SAP landscape (BTP, Analytics Cloud, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.).

Continuous Improvement & Roadmap

  • Drive continuous optimisation of business processes using SAP standard innovation.
  • Identify automation and simplification opportunities using SAP tools and best practices.
  • Contribute to the delivery of an ongoing improvement roadmap aligned to SAP innovation cycles and business strategy.

General Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams, business users, and developers to expedite development and improve service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional, configuration, and data-related issues within SAP environments.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support and liaise with SAP and AMS providers to ensure expert-level resolution.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production errors and recommend long-term fixes.
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and release of software changes aligned with architectural standards and Colliers IT strategy.
  • Produce business analysis deliverables using Colliers-standard documentation and tools.
  • Identify and manage technical projects to maintain service levels and improve platform performance.
  • Support system integration design and implementation across all SAP Systems (S/4HANA, Success Factors, Employee Central Payroll, BTP, Ariba CIM, Concur, SAC) and any 3rd party integrated systems.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation in line with configuration changes.
  • Conduct quality assurance to ensure compliance with functional and technical specifications. Ensure all required testing is completed prior to any changes or enhancements are implemented.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with key stakeholders in EMEA Finance, Business Process Owners, Colliers Technology, SAP and AMS Partners to support platform operations and future enhancements.
  • Work closely with the SAP Programme Team and Implementation Partners during rollouts and onboarding of new countries or business units.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management. Demonstrate strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to improving Colliers Technology services.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a diverse and dynamic environment, effectively prioritising multiple issues simultaneously.

Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting:

  • Proven experience managing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP Success Factors in a live, businesscritical environment.
  • Experience in SAP BAU Support or implementation roles, ideally 5-10 years.
  • Strong understanding of RISE with SAP, SAP support models, and cloud service operations.
  • Experience with quarterly release management and business impact assessment.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP Public Cloud security and role concepts (business roles, catalogs, spaces/pages).
  • Experience with SAP BTP, inapp and sidebyside extensibility.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration patterns and middleware platforms.
  • Strong governance mindset with experience balancing control and agility.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and tools such as JIRA.
  • Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Creation of knowledge articles and training materials to support adoption and resolve common issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends and SAP certifications relevant to the role.
  • Experience operating in an IT Service Management system, preferably ServiceNow

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
  • ITIL certification (desirable).
  • Consultative mindset, self-directed, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information

This is a permanent role within the Colliers EMEA Technology Solutions team. Hybrid working arrangements apply, with a minimum of two days per week in an agreed Colliers office location
