Role Overview
The Embedded Validation & Test Engineer will validate SoC functionality on pre-silicon emulation platforms and post-silicon boards. The role focuses on bring-up testing, automation, debugging, and delivering high-quality defect reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute SoC validation tests on ZeBu or similar platforms.
- Perform bring-up testing on ZeBu and physical boards.
- Handle console operations including flashing, monitoring logs, and power cycling.
- Develop Python scripts for logs, automation, and sanity checks.
- Document and communicate high-quality defect reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot system-level issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in embedded validation or SoC bring-up.
- Experience with ZeBu, FPGA prototypes, or emulation tools.
- Strong understanding of bring-up workflows and console debugging.
- Basic to intermediate Python skills.
- Strong defect reporting and problem-solving skills.
