Software Test Engineer – Embedded & Device Testing

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with strong hands-on testing experience and exposure to automation. Candidates with an EEE/ECE background or experience in embedded/device testing will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test cases and scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of applications/devices.
• Test embedded systems and validate device functionality where applicable.
• Identify, reproduce, analyze, and report defects.
• Perform retesting and regression testing after defect fixes.
• Develop/execute automated test scripts using any relevant scripting language or automation framework.
• Identify functional gaps, edge cases, and risks from an end-user perspective.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
• Maintain test documentation and ensure adequate test coverage.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of hands-on software testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of test case design and QA/testing methodologies.
• Good analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience in defect identification and analysis.
• Exposure to test automation, scripting, or automation frameworks.
• EEE/ECE qualification or embedded/device testing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, or I2C is an added advantage.

Note: Automation experience is not limited to Java or Python. Experience with any scripting language, automation framework, or embedded test automation tool is relevant. Strong testing fundamentals and a testing mindset are the primary requirements.
