We are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to design, develop, and optimize embedded solutions that power Scry AI's IoT and operational intelligence platforms. This role is critical in enabling reliable data capture, device communication, and real-time intelligence at the edge.

Role Overview

As an Embedded Systems Engineer at Scry AI, you will be responsible for developing firmware and embedded software for IoT devices and edge systems. You will work closely with hardware, software, and data teams to ensure seamless integration between devices and AI-driven platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and experienced in building robust embedded systems in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Embedded System Design & Development

  • Design and develop firmware for embedded devices and IoT systems
  • Work with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication modules
  • Ensure reliability, efficiency, and performance of embedded solutions

Device Integration & Communication

  • Implement communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, MQTT, or Modbus
  • Enable seamless data transmission between devices and cloud platforms
  • Integrate embedded systems with backend and AI-driven applications

Testing & Optimization

  • Perform debugging, testing, and performance optimization of embedded systems
  • Identify and resolve hardware-software integration issues
  • Ensure stability and scalability of deployed systems

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work

  • Work closely with hardware engineers, backend developers, and data teams
  • Support deployment and troubleshooting of IoT solutions in real-world environments
  • Contribute to system architecture and design discussions

Documentation & Best Practices

  • Maintain technical documentation for firmware, systems, and processes
  • Follow coding standards and best practices for embedded development
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies in embedded systems and IoT

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong experience in embedded systems development and firmware engineering
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded programming
  • Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, and hardware interfaces
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, MQTT, or Modbus
  • Familiarity with debugging tools, oscilloscopes, and hardware testing
  • Understanding of IoT systems and edge computing
