About the Role
We are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer – MSc (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on embedded programming, hardware-software integration, and real-time systems.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to firmware development, microcontrollers, communication protocols, device optimization, and embedded architectures, helping improve how AI models understand and solve real-world embedded systems challenges.
You will collaborate with global AI and engineering teams to assess the technical accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of AI-generated solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance AI systems used for embedded applications, hardware interfacing, and systems-level engineering.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain, including firmware workflows, embedded architectures, and optimization strategies
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated responses related to embedded systems and low-level programming
- Review peer-developed deliverables to enhance AI research quality and consistency
- Diagnose and solve real-world embedded engineering challenges to improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Assess AI outputs for correctness, hardware compatibility, efficiency, and performance
- Identify bugs, incorrect assumptions, or inefficient implementations in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on embedded systems and real-time applications
Requirements
- MSc in Embedded Systems, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of embedded programming concepts and hardware-software integration
- Experience with C/C++, microcontrollers, RTOS, and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, or I2C
- Familiarity with debugging tools, firmware development, and performance optimization
- Ability to critically evaluate embedded architectures, code quality, and system reliability
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
