Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer - Renewable Site Monitoring

A power-sector company with a growing renewables portfolio, building its own monitoring hardware for solar and wind sites

The data loggers at this company's solar and wind sites drop readings when the 4G link flickers, need a site visit to update, and sometimes reboot for no clear reason. It has partnered with Flexiple to hire an Embedded Software Engineer to own that logger firmware and make it dependable.

You will write C on ARM Cortex-M parts running FreeRTOS: Modbus polling of inverters and meters, buffering to flash, upload over 4G, OTA updates and power-fail handling. Some travel to plants is part of it. The role needs 3 to 6 years of experience.

  • Production embedded C on ARM Cortex-M or similar microcontrollers
  • Hands-on FreeRTOS or another RTOS
  • Modbus, RS-485 or similar, plus a cellular or TCP stack
  • Safe bootloaders and OTA updates with rollback
  • Patience with field debugging and clear fault reports

Location: Remote (India)
