Embedded Software Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Meter Firmware Engineer, based in Thrissur with partial work-from-home flexibility. The role involves developing and maintaining firmware for smart electricity meters, including metering accuracy, data processing, and communication with head-end systems. The engineer will work closely with hardware, testing, and system teams to ensure reliable field performance.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years of experience in embedded C/C++ programming
• Understanding of energy metrology, including measurement accuracy and calibration support
• Knowledge of meter communication protocols such as DLMS/COSEM
• Ability to debug, test, and validate meter firmware
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems
• Degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or Computer Science
