The
DLP Silicon and SW Development Organization has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Engineer. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll design and develop real-time SW to control our family of DLP Controller chips. You'll write code that tells chips how to operate in revolutionary new ways. And, you'll work closely with business partners and customers, as well as TI's marketing, systems and applications engineering teams, to collaborate and solve business problems.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years industry experience in software development on embedded devices.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in EE / ECE / CSE
- Proficient in C/C++ with experience in development and deployment of applications on embedded platforms
- Adequate knowledge of hardware, read schematics and use lab equipment like scopes, logic analyzers and so on
- Strong SW debugging skills. Able to identify software/hardware issues with minimal iterations
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and take initiative to seek clarification and guidance when required
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions including controller design, software, applications and field teams.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills, and a knack for automation of repeated tasks.
- Ability to produce high quality technical documentation
- Experience using issue tracking systems such as JIRA or similar systems
- Ability to take initiative and drive for results, persistence to overcome barriers
Additional Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate also has one or more of the following qualifications:
- Experience in developing, implementing and verifying products involving Functional Safety (ISO26262), HARA
- Experience is Automotive ASPICE SW Development, MISRA C, Dynamic Analysis, DFMEA
- Experience in embedded RTOS platforms
- Experience of scripting using Python
- Well versed with software development tools like Git, static code analyzer tools.
- Quality conscious and able to develop and deploy unit, system and regression tests and automation test scripts.
- Experience in using Lab equipment like Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, Video generators
- Experience working on Image processing and other algorithms
- Knowledge & experience in SW test & validation best practices
- Experience in using AI in day-to-day SW development to improve productivity
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Embedded Software for DLP Controllers and associated peripherals including consumer and automotive products that may involve safety and security considerations.
- Work hand in hand with Controller, FPGA, Algorithms, tools and applications team to define needs, influence system decisions and design the product to meet the needs.
- Follow processes defined to meet the project goals, and improve on them.
- Collaborate with our Worldwide DLP team to enable the program objectives are met as per plan
- Act like an owner to everything you work on and demonstrate commitment and best outcome.
- Creates design documentation and associated application and user guides
- Ensure code coverage and adhere to code quality guidelines.
- Maintenance and support change requests on the existing SW platforms
- Debug and support co-work with Customers and Applications team as needed
- Come up with unit and system level test plans and procedures and develop test scripts
- Analyze test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action.
- Mentor young engineers in the team and groom them to be professionals.
- Ensure lead and the manager is updated on the program progress, anticipated risks and other dependencies as required on a timely manner.
