General Information
Schaeffler India is looking for a Senior Engineer to join the SW&F (BSW) team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for the integration, configuration, and release of AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) across multiple ECU programs spanning EV powertrain, inverter, BMS and OBC platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including platform architects, application software engineers, and international counterparts to deliver high-quality, production-ready BSW stack.
Your Key Responsibilities
BSW Integration & Configuration
- Integrate and configure AUTOSAR BSW components using EB Tresos and/or Vector DaVinci Configurator (Or any other SW configurator tool)
- Perform MCAL(IO, PWM, ICU, PORT, ADC,WDT, SENT, SPI, GTM, Etc..) configuration for Infineon TC3xx,Tc4xx (TriCore), Renesas, and NXP microcontrollers
- Manage BSW module integration and configuration including OS, COM, DCM, NVM, ECU State Manager, and watchdog.(Vector stack)
- Execute BSW release activities: generation, build validation, and SWC integration testing
Protocol & Driver Development
- Integrate and configure drivers for communication protocols: CAN (Classic/FD), SPI, I2C, LIN, SENT and UART,J1939 is good have.
- Develop and maintain ASIC drivers for Power Supply and H-Bridge ASICs
- Collaborate on CAN network design and DBC/ARXML-based signal integration
CV Domain (Preferred)
- Support integration of BSW stacks on commercial vehicle ECUs( Engine management/After treatment controllers)
- Work on dual-chip BSW architectures (e.g., Infineon TC3xx(Chip from Infenion) + TI C2000 (Chip from Texas Instruments)) and inter-processor communication or CAN communication.
- Understand and validate BSW behaviour in high-voltage powertrain ECU contexts
Quality, Tools & Processes
- Perform static code analysis, peer reviews, and unit test support per ASPICE and ISO 26262 processes
- Maintain configuration management using version control tools (Git, SVN, PTC Integrity / Windchill)
- Create and maintain technical documentation: BSW Integration Guides, MCAL configuration reports, release notes
- Support customer and internal technical reviews, change management, and issue resolution
Your Qulaification
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline
Experience
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in AUTOSAR BSW integration in an automotive embedded environment
- Proven experience with MCAL configuration on at least one of: Infineon TC3xx, Renesas RH850/RL78, or NXP S32/MPC platforms
- Experience with EB Tresos Studio or Vector DaVinci Configurator (both is a plus)
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of AUTOSAR layered architecture: MCAL, ECU Abstraction, Services, RTE, and COM stack
- Hands-on with CAN/CAN-FD, SPI, I2C, LIN, SENT communication protocols
- Proficiency in C programming for embedded targets (MISRA-C awareness preferred)
- Familiarity with build systems: make, cmake, or vendor-specific IDE toolchains
- Working knowledge of automotive development processes: ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety awareness)
Good to Have
- Experience with EV powertrain ECUs: OBC, inverter/motor controller, or BMS software integration
- Exposure to NXP SoC platforms and associated BSW/MCAL stack
- Knowledge of FOC (Field Oriented Control) concepts and their software context
- Familiarity with Vector CANalyzer / CANoe for network simulation and testing
- Prior experience in a Tier-1 automotive supplier environment
