Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for embedded systems and firmware
- Perform functional, integration, and system testing on embedded devices
- Validate embedded applications using serial communication protocols
- Identify, analyze, and track defects and issues through resolution
- Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and improve product quality
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis on embedded systems
- Test software on target hardware platforms
- Ensure maximum test coverage and quality standards
- Document test results, reports, and test strategies
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Embedded QA / Testing
- Strong experience in testing embedded software and firmware
- Hands-on experience with serial communication protocols:
- CAN
- I2C
- RS-232
- RS-485
- SPI
- OSI 7-layer model
- Strong expertise in:
- Test case design & execution
- Defect tracking & debugging
- Experience with tools:
- QXDM
- QPST
- QFIL
- ADB
- Good understanding of:
- Linux internals
- IPC mechanisms
- Scheduling
- Linux commands
- Device drivers
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation testing in embedded systems
- Exposure to hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
- Knowledge of CI/CD for embedded testing
