Role SummaryWe are seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and validate hardware systems for next‑generation medical devices. The role involves circuit design, PCB layout, embedded systems integration, and ensuring compliance with medical device manufacturing standards (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, CE/UKCA).
Key Responsibilities- Design and optimize embedded hardware circuits for neuro‑rehab and digital health platforms.
- Develop and validate PCB layouts (multi‑layer, high‑density designs).
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure seamless hardware–software integration.
- Conduct hardware bring‑up, debugging, and validation testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
- Implement power management strategies for battery‑operated medical devices.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, IEC 60601, CE/UKCA and other medical device regulatory standards.
- Work with manufacturing partners to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and quality assurance.
Requirements- Bachelor's/Master's in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- 3–7 years of experience in embedded hardware design.
- Strong knowledge of microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, RP2040) and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, BLE).
- Hands‑on experience with PCB CAD tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle).
- Familiarity with medical device compliance standards (ISO 13485, IEC 60601).
- Experience in signal processing hardware (EEG/ECG/PPG preferred).
Preferred Skills- Experience in medical devices, wearables, or neurotech hardware.
- Knowledge of secure boot, OTA updates, and embedded cybersecurity.
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows and supplier quality audits.
