Embedded Firmware Validation Engineer

Embedded Test Automation Engineer responsible for developing Python-based automation frameworks, validating embedded software and firmware, and performing functional, integration, regression, and system testing. The role involves Linux, hardware peripherals, Redfish APIs, communication protocols, debugging, log analysis, CI/CD validation, and secure boot testing.

Job Description

Protocols: CAN, I2C, PMBus, and Redfish on Linux

Required Skills:

Strong experience in Python-based test automation.

Exposure to embedded software development in C, with the ability to contribute to development activities whenever required.

Hands-on experience with embedded development environments, debugging, and firmware development workflows.

Core Domain Knowledge – Embedded

Linux basics (like Yocto build, Systemd and journal logs) & command line

HW Sensoers & Peripheral (EEPROM, eMMC, GPIO)

SSH and remote debugging Log analysis and troubleshooting

Redfish management APIs 

Protocol - CAN/CAN-FD, SPI, IIC, UART, 

Testing Knowledge 

Functional, Regression, Integration & System Testing

Secure Boot validation

Redfish API testing (Postman/curl) 

Python scripting

pytest or Robot Framework for regression suites

Shell scripting

Automated test framework development CI/CD validation
