Position overview:

An embedded engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded systems and software for a variety of electronic devices. This role requires strong knowledge of hardware-software integration, low-level programming, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Role Description

1. Firmware engineers need to be proficient in both hardware and software. Also have expertise in hardware, circuit debug analysis, and real-time operating systems (RTOS). They also need to have strong programming and code-writing skills and be able to work in fast-paced, demanding environments.
2. Designing and programming software for microcontrollers and other hardware devices.
3. Strong programming capability in microcontrollers (16-bit, 32-bit, ARM Cortex).
4. Strong knowledge in handling the peripherals of I2C, SPI, UART, TCP/IP, PWM, GPIO, bootloader, and RTOS.
5. Documenting ideas, designs, specifications, and instructions.
6. Serving as a technical resource to both the team and management.
7. Collaborating with hardware designers to identify software requirements and develop corresponding software design strategies.
8. Testing, debugging, verifying, and validating functional modules.

• Embedded Software Programming and Software Development skills
• Debugging and Software Design abilities
• Experience in embedded software development
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a plus
