Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer with strong expertise in ECU design and development for automotive applications. The role spans the complete ECU lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software development, integration, validation, and release, aligned with industry standards such as ASPICE and ISO 26262.
The candidate will contribute to the development of reliable, real-time embedded software for automotive ECUs, including Body, Powertrain, ADAS, and Battery Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for automotive ECUs using C / Embedded C
- Analyse requirements and support software design and architecture
- Integrate software on ECU hardware and ensure proper functionality
- Perform testing (unit, integration, system) and support debugging
- Work with tools like CANoe/CANalyzer for validation and issue analysis
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support project deliverables
- Prepare necessary technical documentation
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Japanese language is mandatory (N1/N2/N3/N4 Certification is a must)
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C / C
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive domain
- Knowledge of communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet
- Experience in RTOS-based development
- Hands-on experience with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
Good to Have Skills
- Understanding of microcontrollers (e.g., Infineon, NXP, Renesas)
- Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic Platform preferred)
- Experience in any one of the following domains:
- Body Control Module (BCM)
- Powertrain / Engine Control
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- ADAS / Autonomous systems
- Exposure to ASPICE software lifecycle (SWE.3–SWE.5) and functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive communication and security considerations is an added advantage.
