Job Description:

This is a Device Driver Developer role for embedded systems and Linux environments. The candidate will work on writing and debugging low-level drivers for hardware components and ensure smooth interaction between hardware and software.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

  1. Programming Expertise
  • C and Assembly: Strong command of C for system-level programming and assembly for hardware-near tasks.
  • Low-Level System Programming: Includes memory management, synchronization, IPC (Inter-Process Communication), and socket programming.
  1. Driver Development
  • Ability to write drivers for SPI, I2C, PCIe, and character devices.
  • Understanding Top/Bottom half concepts (interrupt handling in Linux drivers).
  1. Linux Kernel Knowledge
  • Familiarity with Linux kernel architecture, device driver framework, and kernel modules.
  1. Hardware Interaction
  • Basic knowledge of hardware design principles: registers, interrupts, memory addressing.
  • Ability to read board schematics, reference manuals, and use tools like JTAG and logic analyzers for debugging.
  1. Embedded Systems
  • Understanding embedded systems concepts and development methodologies.
  1. Debugging Skills
  • Expertise in tools like GDB for analyzing driver behavior and troubleshooting.
  1. Soft Skills
  • Strong logical, analytical, and communication skills.
