You will be part of AMEC's core R& D team developing our next-generation Solar Hybrid Inverter. This role involves end-to-end design, prototyping, and validation of intelligent power systems, working closely with the mechanical, embedded, and software teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded firmware for inverter control, including PWM, MPPT, DC-DC and DC-AC control loops.
- Work on microcontrollers STM32/TI MCUs, sensors, gate drivers, and power stages for real-time energy management.
- Integrate firmware with power electronics hardware, sensors, and communication modules.
- Implement communication protocols: CAN, UART, RS485 I2C, Modbus, and MQTT.
- Support IoT/cloud teams for data logging, OTA updates, and smart analytics integration.
- Validate prototypes, perform load testing, and ensure EMI/EMC-related firmware ensures system-level stability.
- Collaborate with power electronics, mechanical, thermal, and AI teams to build production-ready designs.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-5 years in embedded systems, preferably in inverters, UPS, EV powertrains, solar products, or power electronics.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++, MCU programming, and real-time systems.
- Hands-on experience with STM32 / TI C2000 / NXP / ESP32
- Solid understanding of power electronics interfaces (DC-DC, DC-AC, MPPT, PID control).
- Knowledge of IoT/communication protocols (CAN, UART, RS485 BLE, MQTT).
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration or cloud-based energy analytics.
