Role Overview
We are looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who combines strong writing skills, operational excellence, and technical understanding of email deliverability. You will manage campaigns, databases, tools, and domain reputation to ensure emails consistently land in the inbox and drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and optimize email campaigns across lifecycle, demand generation, events, and product communication.
Write clear, persuasive, human-sounding email copy aligned with brand voice and goals.
Manage and maintain email databases - segmentation, tagging, hygiene, and compliance.
Build and manage workflows such as lead nurturing, onboarding, re-engagement, and follow-ups.
Own campaign setup in email tools including templates, personalization, dynamic fields, and testing.
Monitor and improve deliverability, open rates, CTRs, conversions, and unsubscribe rates.
Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, timing, and formats.
Own sender and domain reputation management, including:
o Setting up and maintaining SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
o Monitoring sender reputation and inbox placement
o Managing warm-up plans for new domains or IPs o Identifying and resolving deliverability issues Ensure adherence to email compliance and best practices (CAN-SPAM, GDPR basics).
Track performance, create reports, and share insights for continuous improvement.
Coordinate with sales, content, and design teams for aligned messaging.
Required Skills & Experience
1 - 3 years of hands-on experience in email marketing (B2B SaaS preferred).
Strong expertise in email copywriting - subject lines, body copy, CTAs.
Proven experience with email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Web Engage, Clever tap, Salesforce, or similar).
Solid experience in database management, segmentation, and list hygiene.
Practical knowledge of email deliverability and domain authentication:
o SPF, DKIM, DMARC
o Sender reputation monitoring
o Bounce, spam complaint, and suppression handling
Working knowledge of HTML basics for email templates.
Data-driven mindset with ability to analyse metrics and optimize campaigns.
High attention to detail and execution discipline.
Good to have
Experience with marketing automation, CRM integrations, and lifecycle marketing.
Familiarity with email warming tools, deliverability dashboards, and inbox testing.
Understanding of B2B lead funnels and sales handoff workflows.
Experience working in a SaaS or high-growth startup environment.
