Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ELV Design Engineer to join our Design & Build team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, coordinating, and delivering ELV systems for commercial office fit-outs, semiconductor facilities, electronic laboratories. . The role requires strong technical expertise, multidisciplinary coordination, and the ability to deliver projects within stringent timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed ELV designs from concept through IFC/Construction stages.
- Design and prepare layouts, schematics, calculations, BOQs, specifications, and technical reports for:
- Structured Cabling System (SCS)
- CCTV Surveillance
- Access Control System (ACS)
- Fire alarm system
- Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA)
- Building Management System (BMS) Interfaces
- IT design
- Coordinate ELV services with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Architecture, Interior, Structural, and ICT teams.
- Review client requirements, tender documents, and design standards.
- Prepare design calculations, equipment sizing, cable schedules, and technical submittals.
- Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
- Review vendor/shop drawings and material submittals.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, ISO, local authority requirements, and client standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support value engineering while maintaining system performance and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of ELV design experience in Design & Build MEP projects.
- Proven experience in commercial office fit-outs, semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories, or mission-critical environments.
- Strong understanding of international ELV standards and best practices.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Experience with Revit MEP/BIM preferred
- Knowledge of Navisworks and BIM coordination
- Familiarity with MS Office and design documentation
- Ability to prepare BOQs, specifications, and technical reports
