Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for ELV systems.
- Develop layouts, schematic drawings, equipment layouts, and cable routing drawings.
- Prepare ELV drawings based on engineering specifications, site requirements, and approved designs.
- Coordinate with ELV engineers and project teams for drawing preparation and revisions.
- Prepare drawings for CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Public Address, Structured Cabling, SMATV, Intercom, and other ELV systems.
- Prepare cable tray, conduit, containment, and cable routing layouts.
- Prepare device locations, equipment layouts, termination details, and connection drawings.
- Update drawings based on site conditions and engineering changes.
- Incorporate consultant and client comments into drawings.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and civil layouts.
- Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, symbols, and technical details.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on completed site installations.
- Support site teams by providing updated drawings and technical information.
- Ensure drawings are completed within project deadlines.
ELV Systems Exposure
The candidate should have knowledge or exposure to one or more of the following systems:
- CCTV Surveillance
- Access Control System
- Fire Alarm System
- Public Address / Voice Evacuation
- Structured Cabling
- Data & Networking
- Intercom System
- SMATV / MATV
- Audio-Visual Systems
- Building Management / Security Systems
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Architecture, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, ELV Draftsman, MEP Draftsman, or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Understanding of ELV systems and engineering drawings.
- Ability to read architectural, electrical, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of drawing standards, symbols, layers, dimensions, and layouts.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with engineering and site teams.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple drawings and revisions within deadlines.
Education
Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Architecture, or a related field.
