Job Description

Graduate Engineering Trainees who join the Group through the GET program shall undergo extensive training in their 1^st Year.

They will understand and learn the manufacturing processes of the business at the Unit

The GET will be assigned a Project in specific Department in our Unit as per the Unit's requirement. GET will have to undergo Job Shadowing in the same Department.

The JS Trainee to be Inducted by the Unit HR SPOC & JS Host for 2days. This includes Department Process information, Safety process information, Team Introduction.

The JS Trainee will spend approx. 5 to 6 months with the Host. This includes Department activities, day to day working, attending review meetings with host, customer interactions, typically what the host does on daily basis.

Here the Section Head will be immediate Manager and will review the work of the JS Trainee on regular basis and also at the end of the stint.

TheProject Topic will be given by the Department Head and he will review the project work, once in 15days to understand the progress of the same.

This is to clear that Project Stint and Job Shadowing will be done together so that GET's get maximum exposure to the Manufacturing process at the Units.

Preparation by the Host and the JS Trainee

	Host	JS Trainee
Pre- work	Host should be ready with required documents/ SOP's to be shared with the JS trainee	Try to list down the documents, details required to be learn at the department
During Shadowing	Explain the basic of work process to the JS trainee Allow the JS trainee to ask questions Give clear Instruction of the work to be done	Take notes of all the learnings Ask a lot of questions regarding the process Connect with the team members within the department
Post Shadowing	Give an honest and clear feedback of the JS trainee to the Section Head / Department Head	Document all the learnings

Presentation by the JS Trainee

At the end of the stint the JS trainee should do the presentation in the PPT format
He / She should present the understanding of the department process via diagram
He / She should give update on this project work - Objective, Project findings, Completion report to be part of the PPT presentation.
Give suggestion to improve the process
Talk about his/her achievement in the Learning stint
