Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district for an Elevator Installation Manager. The Elevator Installation Manager will oversee end-to-end installation activities for elevators, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of installation teams and subcontractors. The role involves reviewing technical drawings and specifications, conducting site surveys, ensuring site readiness, and resolving on-site technical issues during installation and commissioning. The manager will be responsible for enforcing safety protocols, quality standards, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations throughout the installation process. Day-to-day work includes liaising with clients, consultants, and internal departments, tracking project progress against timelines and budgets, preparing reports, and supporting handover, testing, and final documentation. The role also includes mentoring and guiding technicians, driving continuous improvement in installation practices, and supporting after-sales service teams when needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of elevator systems, installation methods, and commissioning procedures, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project planning, onsite coordination, and time management to supervise multiple installations and meet schedule and budget targets.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety management, quality control, and compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and company policies.
  • Effective team leadership skills, including mentoring technicians, managing subcontractors, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, including reporting on progress and issues.
  • Hands-on problem-solving ability to address technical challenges on site and make timely, well-judged decisions under operational constraints.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent technical qualification) preferred, with prior experience in elevator or similar installation projects.
  • Comfort working on construction sites, with readiness to travel within the region as required for project needs.
  • Familiarity with basic project management tools and documentation practices
