Ensure high availability (HA), failover readiness, and disaster recovery strategies.
Work on backup solutions and maintain DR procedures.
Enforce database security policies, user access management, and role-based permissions.
Implement encryption, auditing, and compliance controls as required.
Regularly review logs, monitor suspicious activity, and maintain security hygiene.
Work closely with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support seamless deployments and database interactions.
Prepare and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to internal teams.
Qualifications
Strong experience 3+ Years in PostgreSQL Database Administration, including maintenance, backups, and upgrades.
Proficiency in Database Design to support business applications with scalability and efficiency.
Ability to perform Troubleshooting and technical issue resolution with databases.
Knowledge of Replication techniques for data synchronization and high availability.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL systems and related tools is highly desirable.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment.
Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and any relevant database management certifications.
