Position Overview
We're seeking a highly committed Electronics R&D Engineer to take complete ownership of our embedded product development initiatives. This role demands hands-on expertise in electronics design, strong execution capabilities, and the ability to drive projects from concept to production independently. You'll work on cutting-edge fingerprint-based access control systems, industrial automation, and future advanced mobility solutions.
This position requires full-time commitment, consistent availability, and an ownership mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Ownership
- Lead end-to-end development of fingerprint-based ignition and access control systems
- Take full ownership of outsourced designs with in-house technical supervision
- Design and develop PLC-based automation systems for kiosks and industrial applications
- Drive product development from concept to market-ready solutions independently
- Maintain and enhance existing traffic signal control systems and motherboards
Design & Engineering
- Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and comprehensive technical documentation
- Design embedded systems integrating fingerprint sensors with ignition/access control mechanisms
- Develop firmware for microcontroller-based products and automation systems
- Optimize circuit designs for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Select and evaluate components, sensors, and electronic modules
R&D & Innovation
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototyping for new product concepts
- Research and implement emerging technologies in embedded systems and automation
- Contribute to future R&D initiatives in advanced mobility and transportation systems
- Explore battery management systems and power electronics innovations
- Develop IoT-enabled solutions with wireless communication capabilities
Quality & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing protocols for hardware validation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electronic system issues quickly
- Ensure timely delivery of projects with minimal supervision
- Maintain consistent availability and strong commitment to project timelines
- Provide technical support and continuous improvement for deployed systems
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electronics design and product development
- Proven track record of independently managing product development from concept to production
- Must demonstrate consistent work history with minimal career gaps
Technical Skills - Must Have
- Expert-level proficiency in circuit design and PCB development (Altium, Eagle, or KiCad)
- Strong experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming (AVR, ARM, ESP32, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with fingerprint sensors or biometric device integration
- Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems
- Proficiency in firmware development (C/C++, Arduino, embedded C)
- Understanding of power electronics and motor control systems
- Experience with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Modbus, CAN)
Technical Skills - Preferred
- Experience with traffic control systems or automotive electronics
- Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and charging circuits
- Familiarity with drone/UAV electronics or flight control systems
- Understanding of IoT devices and wireless communication (WiFi, BLE, LoRa)
- Experience with computer vision hardware integration
- Knowledge of safety-critical system design
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and compliance
