Job description for Electronics Shop manager,

An Electronics Production Manager, specialized in Class3 electronics assemblies in defence sector oversees the end-to-end manufacturing and testing process of mission critical electronic products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on time delivery.

This role demands precision, compliance with class 3 standards, IPC specialization knowledge base and cross functional coordination across engineering, quality, design departments to deliver high-reliability products under strict timelines.

Key Responsibilities,

• Oversee production of defence-grade electronic systems with end to end responsibility and ensure compliance of defence manufacturing standards.
• Coordinate with cross functional departments like design, quality, product management, supply chain to meet stringent performance and reliability benchmarks.
• Manage production schedules, resource planning, and cost control in alignment with defence contracts.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Mentor and supervise production team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
• Responsible for process optimization to improve yield, reduce waste and enhance throughput.
• Responsible to evaluate and adopts new tools, automation, digitalization to modernize production lines.
• Responsible for internal and external audit.
• Able to do capital expenditure(CapEx) management, annual budget planning, resource allocation, cost estimation & control etc.

• Technical skills-
• IPC 610,620 standards
• Knowledge of assembly, testing of electronics unit & PCB assembly.
• Knowledge of analog circuit , digital circuit ,wire harness, schematic, drownings etc.
• Knowledge of Environmental stress screening(ESS) and ESS specifications.
• MIL standards
• Safety standards
• Troubleshooting, debugging units and cards
• Quality control(IPC,ISO)
• ERP system, PLM system, SAP, Power Bi,
