About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Electronics Lab Technician with hands-on experience in PCB handling, soldering, wiring harness fabrication, and electromechanical assembly and integration. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with lab equipment, supporting engineering teams, and assisting in building prototypes involving cameras, sensors, drones, and embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics & Hardware Assembly

  • Perform precision soldering (through-hole and SMD) on PCBs.
  • Assemble, rework, and troubleshoot multi-layer PCBs and electronic modules.
  • Build and test wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and connectors.
  • Assist in electromechanical assembly of prototypes and production-grade systems.
  • Support integration of cameras, sensors, and embedded hardware into robotics platforms.

Lab Operations & Equipment Handling

  • Operate and maintain lab equipment such as , multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, reflow stations, crimping tools, hot-air guns, etc.
  • Manage component inventory, maintain lab discipline, and follow ESD protocols.
  • Setup rigs for testing, calibration, and debugging hardware.

Technical Documentation & Interpretation

  • Read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Prepare basic documentation for builds, test logs, and assembly reports.

Testing & Validation

  • Assist engineers in functional testing, debugging, and validation of electronics and electromechanical systems.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of PCB assemblies, harness connectivity, and integrated systems (cameras, sensors, drone platforms).

Qualifications & Experience ( Must Have's)

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience as an Electronics Technician or similar role. Strong soldering skills (SMD, BGA rework experience is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of PCB assemblies, electronic components, and wiring harness fabrication.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working with electromechanical assemblies, embedded systems, or robotics hardware.
  • Exposure to camera modules, sensor integration, or drone hardware is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in using test instruments: multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, bench power supply, LCR meter, Crimp tools etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITI/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Experience in defence,space, aerospace, robotics, or harsh-environment hardware is a plus. Knowledge of ESD-safe practices and quality control processes.
  • Good knowledge of IPC Standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721)
