Electronics Engineer, Hardware Prototype (Contract to Full-time)

Company Description

Alvo is an early-stage consumer wellness company building a connected handheld device and a companion mobile app. We are at the prototype stage and are hiring our first hardware engineer.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site contract role in Hyderabad for an Electronics Engineer. You will build the first working prototype of our device from off-the-shelf components and prepare it for small user trials. The role starts as a three-month contract and converts to a permanent full-time position if the prototype meets its goals.

Responsibilities

• Build a working prototype using a microcontroller and sensor modules.
• Write and test firmware that reads the sensors and sends data over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
• Calibrate sensors and improve the stability of readings.
• Build several identical units and support user trials.
• Document the circuit, parts list and code.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in electronics, electrical or instrumentation engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Projects you have built with microcontrollers such as ESP32 or Arduino.
• Experience reading analog and digital sensors and debugging with a multimeter.
• Working knowledge of C, C++ or MicroPython.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools.
• Recent graduates and engineers with up to two years of experience are welcome.
• Experience with circuit board design or low-signal measurement is a plus.

Compensation

• 25,000 per month during the three-month contract.
• 35,000 per month on conversion to a full-time role.
