Job Description – Electrician cum Plumber (Basic AC Knowledge)

Location: RECCAA Club
Role Summary
The Electrician cum Plumber is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of all electrical and plumbing systems within the club premises. The role also requires basic knowledge of air-conditioning systems to assist with routine checks and minor maintenance, ensuring safe and uninterrupted club operations.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Works
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.
- Attend electrical complaints and rectify faults promptly.
- Maintain lighting systems, switches, sockets, wiring, and distribution boards.
- Assist in basic operation and maintenance of DG sets, UPS, and electrical panels.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety throughout the premises.
Plumbing Works
- Carry out maintenance and repairs of water supply lines, drainage systems, and sanitary fittings.
- Attend plumbing complaints such as leakages and blockages in washrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Maintain pumps, motors, valves, tanks, and plumbing accessories.
- Ensure proper functioning of STP/ETP pipelines and plumbing connections.
- Check and ensure proper functioning of the RO plant, including filters, pipelines, pumps, and water flow.
Air-Conditioning (Basic Knowledge)
- Assist in routine checks of split AC, cassette AC, and AHU units.
- Clean AC filters and support basic AC maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with AC technicians during servicing and breakdowns.
General Responsibilities
- Support event setups and dismantling with electrical and plumbing arrangements.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and complaint registers.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as required.
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE during all maintenance activities.
- After room check-outs, inspect and ensure that all lights, fans, ACs, TVs, and washroom fittings are in proper working condition.
Statutory & Safety Compliance
- Follow electrical and plumbing safety norms and club policies.
- Assist during statutory inspections related to electrical and water systems.
- Ensure safe, clean, and hazard-free work areas.
Reporting & Coordination
- Report to the Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and operations teams for smooth functioning.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Plumbing, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in clubs, hotels, or commercial facilities preferred.
- Valid electrical license preferred (where applicable).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and plumbing systems.
- Basic understanding of air-conditioning systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts and attend emergency calls.
Working Conditions
- Shift-based duty, including weekends and holidays.
- On-call availability for emergency maintenance requirements.
