Job Summary
We are looking for an Electrical Wiring Harness Design Engineer with 0–3 years of experience and hands-on knowledge of CATIA. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and modification of electrical wiring harnesses for automotive/engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical wiring harnesses using CATIA.
- Create and modify 2D/3D wiring harness layouts and routing.
- Prepare harness drawings, schematics, and related engineering documentation.
- Understand electrical components, connectors, terminals, wires, clips, and routing requirements.
- Perform harness packaging and ensure proper routing within vehicle/product constraints.
- Support design changes, engineering modifications, and release activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable customer and engineering standards.
- Review designs and resolve basic design-related issues.
Required Skills
- CATIA – Mandatory
- Knowledge of Electrical Wiring Harness Design
- Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems and components.
- Understanding of 2D/3D CAD modelling and drafting.
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automobile, or related engineering discipline.
