Job Purpose:To ensure safe, efficient, and reliable installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of MV (Medium Voltage) and LT (Low Voltage) electrical systems and panels at customer sites, while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Execution & Technical Work- Carry out H.T. / L.T. Panels Installation, Relay Testing,Testing & Commissioning.
- Execute H.T. Structure Installations and related electrical infrastructure work.
- Perform H.T./L.T. Cable Laying, Cable Termination & Cable Jointing.
- Handle Cable Tray Installation and support system setup.
- Execute Bus Duct Installation.
- Perform required Fabrication Work and Earthing activities at site.
- Manage and execute Industrial and Commercial Turnkey Project Work.
- Conduct relay parameterization and protection settings as per customer requirements.
- Perform functional checks, continuity tests, and ensure system readiness before energization.
- Identify faults/abnormalities and take corrective actions in coordination with site engineers.
2. Safety Compliance- Strictly follow all electrical safety norms and never bypass safety interlocks.
- Ensure proper isolation of power and control supply before starting work.
- Obtain necessary permits and follow LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures.
- Use mandatory PPE and ensure team compliance at all times.
3. Site Coordination- Coordinate with client/site team before scheduling visits and confirm site readiness.
- Communicate work scope clearly with reporting manager before execution.
- Work in alignment with end-user procedures for operating feeders.
- Take necessary approvals before performing any operation or modification.
4. Team Handling- Supervise and guide technicians at site.
- Assign work based on team members skills and ensure proper execution.
- Take full responsibility for team safety and work quality.
5. Documentation & Reporting- Prepare and submit detailed site/service reports with accurate data.
- Obtain customer signatures on reports or share via email if not available.
- Record any wiring or design changes and inform the design team for updates.
- Share reports internally with management, accounts, and project teams.
6. Quality & Compliance- Ensure no tools or materials are left inside panels after work completion.
- Verify work completion before closing panels and restoring supply.
- Follow company SOPs and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:- Strong knowledge of MV/LT panels and electrical systems
- Hands-on experience in cable handling, installation, and commissioning
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of protection relays and testing tools
- Understanding of electrical safety standards (LOTO, PPE, etc.)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and at different site locations
Educational Qualification:- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Experience:- 2–5 years (or as per requirement) in electrical panel commissioning / service
Additional Requirements:- Willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to work in challenging site conditions
