Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and technically strongElectrical Panel Division Headto lead the end-to-end execution of electrical panel projects. The role involves overseeing design coordination, fabrication guidance, wiring supervision, quality assurance, and project delivery until final dispatch. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in LT panel manufacturing, technical drawings, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Design Oversight

  • Review and approveGA (General Arrangement) drawings, SLDs, schematic and control wiring drawings.
  • Provide technical inputs during panel design and estimation stage.
  • Ensure drawings comply with client specifications and applicable standards (IEC/IS).
  • Coordinate with the design team for modifications and revisions.

2. Production & Fabrication Management

  • Guide fabrication team as per approved drawings and panel layout.
  • Prepare and monitor fabrication and assembly instructions.
  • Supervise busbar design, panel compartmentalization, and mechanical assembly.
  • Ensure proper material utilization and minimize wastage.

3. Wiring & Assembly Supervision

  • Provide wiring guide and ensure proper routing, ferruling, labeling, and termination.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Monitor quality of crimping, lugging, and cable dressing.
  • Oversee control panel, PCC, MCC, APFC, VFD panels (as applicable).

4. Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Ensure panels meet internal QA/QC standards before dispatch.
  • Supervise routine tests (IR test, continuity test, functional testing).
  • Coordinate with client/third-party inspection if required.
  • Maintain technical documentation and test reports.

5. Project Coordination & Leadership

  • Guide and mentor Project Engineers and shop floor supervisors.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with procurement for material planning.
  • Handle technical discussions with clients when required.

6. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards and company SOPs.
  • Implement workplace safety practices on the shop floor.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • 36 years of experience in LT/HT Panel Manufacturing Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components (ACBs, MCCBs, VFDs, Relays, PLCs, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or electrical drafting tools.
  • Good understanding of panel costing and BOQ (preferred).
