Job Summary:

An experienced and technically proficient Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background

in building services, to oversee and manage the electrical design scope across high-rise

residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

The ideal candidate will have an experience on both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV)

systems, acquired through roles with reputed MEP design consultancies or client-side real

estate developers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage electrical design for building services, including LV and HV systems,

ensuring full compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.

Prepare and review electrical design drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical reports.

Coordinate with internal teams (architecture, structural, mechanical, and project

management) and external stakeholders (consultants, vendors, statutory authorities).

Validate and approve design submissions from external consultants and ensure integration

with other disciplines.

Participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises, and technical audits.

Oversee interface between HV power infrastructure (including transformers, RMUs, HT

panels) and internal LV distribution systems.

Support in utility coordination, load sanctioning, and Liaisioning with local electricity

authorities.

Evaluate and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and design change requests

during project execution.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior electrical engineers on the team.

Ensure design deliverables align with project timelines, cost, quality, and sustainability

goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Master's degree is a plus).

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in electrical design for building services, with

exposure to both design consultancy and real estate development environments

preferred.

Strong knowledge of national and international electrical codes and standards (e.g.,

NBC, IS codes, IEC, IEEE).

Proven experience in design of electrical infrastructure including HT/LT distribution,

power & lighting layouts, earthing, lightning protection, backup power systems, and

energy efficiency.

Proficient in design and calculation software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, Dialux,

or similar.

Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Background:

Experience working on large-scale residential or commercial developments.

Data Centre design experience will be an added advantage.

Previous role with reputed electrical design consultants or real estate developers.

Strong understanding of project lifecycle from concept to handover.
