Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

. Design and develop electrical, mechanical, control, internal, or component aspects of various transformer types (power, distribution, special purpose).
. Conduct detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses (e.g., thermal, mechanical stress, electromagnetic) to validate designs.
. Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and other design documentation.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and sales to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
. Perform root cause analysis for design-related issues and implement corrective actions.
. Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in transformer design.
. Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
. Contribute to intellectual property development and patent applications as applicable.
. Identify and implement design improvements for performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Job Qualifications:

. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
. Proven experience in the design and development of transformers or related heavy electrical equipment.
. Strong understanding of transformer principles, including electromagnetic theory, thermal management, insulation systems, and mechanical integrity.
. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
. Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI/IEEE).
. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
. Experience with material selection for high-voltage applications is a plus.
. Familiarity with manufacturing processes relevant to transformer production is desirable.

  • Mechanical Design Engineer - 2 - 12 years (Transformer Industry)
  • Internal Design Engineer - 4 - 10 years (Core, Winding, Active Part Design)
  • Control Design Engineer - 4 - 8 years (Control/Panel Design)
  • Component Engineer - Oil & Chemicals - 5 - 15 years (Material/Oil Domain)
