Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance professional to lead electrical maintenance activities for Slitting Lines, Cut-to-Length (CTL) Lines, EOT Cranes, and associated utilities. The role will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability, safety compliance, preventive maintenance execution, automation troubleshooting, and coordination with statutory authorities. The incumbent will drive operational excellence through effective maintenance planning, breakdown reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Reliability
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of Slitting Lines, CTL Lines, EOT Cranes, and related equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability.
- Monitor equipment performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance practices.
- Maintain critical spare inventory and support procurement planning.
Automation & Control Systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain Siemens PLC systems including S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, and S7-1500.
- Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical control panels, HMIs, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Support modifications, upgrades, and commissioning of automation projects.
- Ensure proper backup and documentation of PLC programs and electrical drawings.
Drives & Instrumentation
- Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs and drive systems including:
- Siemens Micromaster 440
- Siemens Simovert Master Drives
- Siemens Sinamics G120 & S120
- ABB ACS880
- NUSCO Servo Drives
- Yaskawa GA700 Drives
- Handle calibration and maintenance of pressure, temperature, level gauges, sensors, and field instruments.
- Ensure optimum performance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Safety, Compliance & Audits
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and company EHS policies.
- Drive implementation of 5S, safety initiatives, and maintenance best practices.
- Participate in safety audits and ensure closure of observations.
- Maintain compliance records related to electrical installations and statutory inspections.
Liaison & Statutory Coordination
- Coordinate with State Electricity Board for power-related matters, approvals, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with the Weights & Measures Department and other regulatory authorities as required.
- Support statutory inspections, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
Reporting & Team Management
- Prepare departmental MIS reports, maintenance KPIs, downtime analysis, and improvement reports.
- Lead and guide maintenance technicians and contract workforce.
- Coordinate with production, operations, stores, and engineering teams for maintenance planning and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
