Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer with strong hands-on experience in industrial environments. The role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure uninterrupted operations, safety compliance, and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems including motors, transformers, switchgear, PLCs, and drives.
- Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply and optimize energy efficiency across the facility.
Installation & Commissioning
- Supervise installation of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Test and commission equipment as per technical specifications and standards.
- Review and validate electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and as-built documents.
Safety & Compliance
- Implement and strictly adhere to electrical safety protocols and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with IEC / IS standards.
- Support safety initiatives including risk assessments, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and hazard mitigation.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
- Diagnose electrical faults and breakdowns in industrial machinery and utilities.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Project & Vendor Coordination
- Support capital and expansion projects from an electrical engineering perspective.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and OEMs for maintenance, repairs, and procurement.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and energy consumption.
- Prepare technical reports and recommend cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Manage and maintain electrical inventory and spare parts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial experience
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, safety standards, and maintenance best practices
