EducationalQualification: B. Tech / M. Tech

Location: Whitefield, Bangalore

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced E&I Head to oversee all E&I activities, ensuring that design and detailing, are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards for our Plant Engineering Business Unit. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

Extensive hands-on experience delivering large, multidisciplinary engineering projects in Oil & Gas, Power, Water Treatment, Refining, and Petrochemical sectors, acting as the main technical interface for E&I disciplines. Should have experience of executing projects for large customers in North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the E&I team, providing technical guidance, mentoring staff, and establishing department goals
  • Lead and manage the delivery of E& I Deliverables from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring effective resource allocation, task management, and career development.
  • Approve key electrical documents (SLD, load lists, grounding) and instrumentation documents (datasheets, loop diagrams, IO lists, control narratives).
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (process, piping, mechanical) to ensure integrated design, and interdisciplinary checks.
  • Ensure all designs conform to international codes (IEC, NEC, ISA, IEEE) and client-specific requirements.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Appraise and groom team members to improve their performance and develop their competencies

Required Skills

  • Proven working experience in Leadership Role in Plant Engineering Services organization
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Familiarity with ETAP, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/In tools), AutoCAD, and Aveva / Intergraph systems.
  • Experience of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively engage with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
