Apply electrical engineering expertise to projects in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, chemical industries, and EPC environments
Perform power system modeling and studies using tools such as SKM Power Tools and ETAP
Prepare and analyze power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protective relaying, and arc flash analysis
Conduct electrical safety analysis and support safe system design practices
Ensure hazardous area compliance in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
Support power generation systems, system analysis, and electrical protection schemes
Design and evaluate power cable and line routing, wiring methods, and material selection
Apply principles of shielding and grounding for power lines and electrical cables
Assess adequacy of equipment ratings and selection including interrupting capacity, withstand ratings, latching current, and basic insulation level
Design and review bus transfer schemes including automatic transfer, fast transfer, and residual voltage transfer
Support design and operation of battery backup systems and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems
Evaluate and apply appropriate motor starting methods such as soft starters and variable speed drives
Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory electrical requirements
Select and specify electrical equipment including substations, transformers, switchgear, protective relays, motor control centers, variable speed drives, motors, generators, and power cables
