- This position will provide Electrical Engineering Support to the Mods & Ups of Electrical system in IST service engineering group.
- Knowledgeable in Control & Protection Commissioning and Protection Systems including SIPROTEC Relays, DIGSI 4, and DIGSI 5.
- Familiarity with Other Protection Systems such as ABB, Alstom, GE Relays, SEL Relays and others.
- Ability to review / confirm and markup as required of SLD and three-line diagrams, protection, metering and control schematics, interconnection diagrams
- Review and understand short circuit, protection coordination and arc flash studies to determine system settings and protection schemes
- Analyze customers technical specifications regarding the application of Siemens Motor Control Center (MCC) products along with associated protection and control systems and design appropriate product solutions to meet the customers expectations in cost-effective and timely manner
- Conduct protection FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) with customer both in factory and at site and production of test reports
- Participate and provide input in the preparation of RFQs and bid evaluations analysis
- Should be able to prepare SLD, Protection Block diagram/PSLD, interlocking logics and have basic knowledge of HV equipments.
- Shall be able to prepare CT VT sizing, earthing, lighting, lightning protection, SCF, Conductor/Tube sizing and Battery and charger Sizing calculations.
- Shall have Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEC, ANSI etc
- Support the Installation & Commissioning Team when required to Identify and rectify problems found during installation and commissioning of equipment/software solutions supplied.
- Support the Engineering sales and tender to supply detailed quotes with regards to engineering times/potential hardware requirements/possible engineering solutions with regards to customer enquires

- At least 15 years of experience in the electrical design engineering of Industrial steam turbines.
- Profound knowledge of power distribution systems design principles, components, and systems architecture.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, protections, control systems, and circuitry.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NEC and UL requirements.
- Experience with engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, etc. for Electrical design
