Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Electrical Engineering Expert to work on a contractor basis. This expert will apply their expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. The work will involve collaborating with core technical staff to drive innovation and inform research directions within the electrical engineering domain. This role will be a key contributor to the development of frontier AI models in various industries, including finance, healthcare, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in client consultations to assess and advise on new engineering pipelines and technical opportunities, leveraging electrical engineering expertise to inform research directions.

• Partner with core technical staff to drive innovation and inform research directions within the electrical engineering domain, ensuring the development of high-quality AI systems.

• Create and review challenging sample tasks and scenarios for use in new pipeline development, utilizing domain knowledge to inform AI system learning and performance.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures, often with limited or incomplete information, to identify and resolve technical issues.

• Collaborate with the AI recruiter to identify and vet top talent, enabling high-quality contributions to AI system development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design and systems thinking, to inform AI system development.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical staff and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team, with minimal supervision, to drive innovation and inform research directions.

• Proficiency in using AI and machine learning tools to develop and train AI systems, with a strong understanding of AI system limitations and trade-offs.

• Strong ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality work, with a focus on reliability and accuracy.
